Form of Government

Panama City Beach operates under a Council-Manager form of government, outlined in the City Charter. This system includes a governing body of four at-large council members and the mayor, all of whom have equal voting rights. Together, they work to make decisions that shape our city and improve the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.

Elections

  • PCB's elected officials serve four year terms.
  • Term limits of eight years of service apply.
  • The mayoral seat opens during the same year as wards 2 and 4.
  • Wards 1 and 3 open two years later.
